If your laptop still has its original hard drive and hidden recovery partition, you can restore the system without any downloads or external media.
Acer recommends creating a backup USB recovery drive while your computer is still functioning. This requires a USB drive of at least 16 GB. : Open the Start menu and select All Apps . Open the Acer folder and click Acer Recovery Management .
: Restart your computer and repeatedly press Alt + F10 as soon as the Acer logo appears.
: Go to Settings > System > Recovery and choose Reset this PC .
: You can purchase recovery CDs, DVDs, or USB drives from the Acer Store Recovery Media page by entering your SNID or Serial Number.
If your hard drive has failed or the recovery partition is gone, and you didn't create a backup, you must order physical media.
: Always ensure your laptop is plugged into a power source before starting any recovery process to prevent a shutdown mid-installation.
