The story begins with an asteroid housing an alien army led by heading toward Earth. After the asteroid nearly misses the planet, Slug’s forces land and begin "terra-freezing" the atmosphere to turn Earth into a frozen "Planet Cruiser" suitable for their demon clan, who cannot withstand sunlight.
