In a final showdown on a collapsing bridge, Humpty realizes that the Golden Goose's safety is more important than his grudge. To save Puss and the town, Humpty sacrifices himself, falling from the bridge. When Puss checks the wreckage, he finds that Humpty wasn't just "rotten"—underneath his shell, he was a solid gold egg.
Puss escapes with the help of Kitty, who has had a change of heart. As a massive, skyscraper-sized goose descends upon San Ricardo, Puss must convince Humpty to do the right thing.
