: During a picnic, Mark and Jeremy engage in a bitter verbal standoff, each listing why the other is a terrible match for Dobby. To sabotage Jeremy, Mark falsely tells Dobby that Jeremy is a drug addict with severe psychological issues.

: Unbeknownst to Mark, Jeremy has also fallen in love with Dobby. He tags along on the trip, intending to confess his feelings.

: Dobby is offered a job in New York by her ex-boyfriend, Simon. Suspicious that she is lying to avoid moving in with him, Mark suggests a romantic weekend in the country to "nail down the lie".
