Dziecielina — Rudnik

("Dzięcielina Blazed onto Stereo Tape") is a landmark musique concrète composition by Eugeniusz Rudnik , a pioneer of the Polish Radio Experimental Studio. Recorded in 2010 and officially released on the 2014 album ERdada na taśmę by Requiem Records , the piece is a surreal, sonic deconstruction of Polish national identity and literary heritage. The Core Concept

The title and central motif play on the famous opening lines of Adam Mickiewicz’s national epic, Pan Tadeusz : "Gdzie bursztynowy świerzop, gryka jak śnieg biała, / Gdzie panieńskim rumieńcem dzięcielina pała" ("Where amber winter rape, buckwheat like white snow, / Where with a maiden’s blush dzięcielina [clover] glows"). Rudnik Dziecielina

Rather than a reverent tribute, Rudnik treats this sacred text as raw material: ("Dzięcielina Blazed onto Stereo Tape") is a landmark
