The story follows (Neith Hunter), an ambitious Los Angeles reporter investigating the mysterious death of a woman who spontaneously combusted before jumping off a roof. Her investigation leads her to Fima (Maud Adams), a bookstore owner who leads a feminist, Lilith-worshipping coven of witches.
