The story follows François Pignon (played by Daniel Auteuil), a humble and self-effacing parking valet who inadvertently finds himself at the center of a major scandal. After being photographed next to billionaire Pierre Levasseur and his supermodel mistress, Elena (Alice Taglioni), Pignon is hired to pretend he is actually Elena's boyfriend.
