The indie comedy follows a former child actor named David who, after being jilted by his fiancée days before their wedding, is convinced by his eccentric German best man, Flula, to go on his planned seven-day backpacking honeymoon through the Oregon mountains anyway. The film is a lighthearted, "goofy" exploration of male friendship, heavily influenced by the improvised rapport between real-life friends David Giuntoli and Flula Borg .
