Go to > Firmware Upgrade in the router's web UI.

is a legacy dual-band router that remains popular for third-party firmware enthusiasts due to its capable Broadcom BCM4718 CPU and 64MB of RAM. While official support has largely ceased, custom firmware can modernize its features and performance.

Upload the .bin or .tgz file and wait for the system to reboot.

Official firmware provides basic stability but lacks modern security features like disabling SIP ALG, which is only available in V2 models. Standard builds include v2.00.01.015 .

Access the web interface, navigate to Connectivity > Details under Firmware Update. Upgrade Process: Download the firmware from a repository like SourceForge .
